Working groups for public relations work in the network - get involved!

Aktuelles – 05. July 2025

Many Care Revolution activists have repeatedly expressed the wish that the Care Revolution network and its statements should have a greater public presence. The presence of the groups on the ground and their involvement in ongoing care conflicts is essential for this. However, the presence at network level should also be strengthened. We are setting up various working groups so that this does not involve concentrating on just a few "spokespeople" and so that all network members can contribute their ideas and expertise. Participation is open to everyone active in the network and we are very happy to welcome anyone who wants to join. If you are not yet a member of the network and would like to get involved, please write to koordination@care-revolution.org, preferably with a brief introduction. We will then explain how to become a member. Below is a copy of what we are planning to do from the circular letter to network members.

The following working groups are to be set up:

1) Social Media: The social media working group is responsible for the Care Revolution network's presence on social networks. The first tasks are to consider which platforms make sense (an Instagram account already exists, for example), what the goals of our social media work should be and what a sustainable strategy could look like. The next step is to create posts with appropriate text, images and/or videos. Everyone can get involved where there is the most personal interest. The first meeting will take place on 15 July at 19:00. If you are interested and would like to take part in the kick-off meeting (or don't have time there but would like to be present at subsequent meetings), please contact Silvia via s.klein@care-revolution.org.

2) Website contributions and newsletter: The website and newsletter should make it clear what Care Revolution stands for, but also emphasise the diversity of the network. Therefore, it would be helpful if a group of active people representing this diversity could take care of recruiting and maintaining, writing and proofreading contributions. If you are interested, please write to Matthias at: m.neumann@care-revolution.org. We will then look for a working group date, which will be announced publicly in the network. If you only want to join us for a specific topic that is close to your heart, that is also very welcome.

3) Events: There is currently a small working group that organises events within the network. Other interested parties have already been found, so you can join a working group that is discussing its working methods. Here, too, the working group not only plans events itself, but can also be approached by network committees, for example, with requests. The next meeting is on 23 July at 19:00. If you are interested, please contact Matthias: m.neumann@care-revolution.org.

4) Press releases, flyers, position papers, stickers, stand material...: There are repeated requests for the network to position itself more visibly as a network in public and for regional groups and cooperation organisations to be provided with material for stands or similar. This can take very different forms and close cooperation, especially with the co-circle, is certainly important. As soon as there are more interested parties, we will also offer a working group meeting here. In the meantime, it will help us a lot if you write a short email: "I am available for the following task(s)." Write to: koordination@care-revolution.org.

With these working groups, we want to reduce the separation between the coordination centre and others active in the network and make use of the expertise and creativity that certainly abounds in the network. If we succeed in this, Care Revolution will certainly become even more attractive.

Because these working groups are supposed to take on tasks for the entire network, it is important that they do not just work for themselves, but that they report to the Coordination Centre on a regular basis, discuss large projects in advance and, if necessary, accept orders or requests.

Best regards, Matthias and Silvia
