After the podcast "Care work is the largest economic sector" with Ina Praetorius and the SPS leadership duo Meyer&Wermuth was broadcast in summer 2024, the JUSO of the canton of Aargau took the initiative on 1 May 2025: Their traditional Labour Day educational event was dedicated to the topic of care work, its significance for society and the economy and the over-exploitation of women* . As many relevant texts by Ina Praetorius can already be read or heard online, they invited their guest for the evening of 29 April not to give a lecture, but to take part in a moderated discussion based on prior reading of the texts. The following texts were read or listened to:

The discussion focused on the questions of how exactly the patriarchal-capitalist over-exploitation of care workers works, on which levels resistance and constructive post-patriarchal politics are therefore necessary and possible, and what this means for the concrete work of SPS and JUSO in the coming period, for example with regard to the current popular initiatives "Gute Kitas" and "Familienzeit", but also beyond that.
