Care Council Freiburg is constituted

The Freiburg Care Council met for the first time on 16 October 2017. The 20 or so people present agreed that the city needs a permanent body to tackle care issues. The newly created council, which is open to all interested parties, is to research changing care issues, develop proposals and demands and scandalise grievances. It is important to us that care workers or those dependent on care as well as politically active people are heard and included in the discussions. The result of the first meeting is that the Care Council will deal with the situation of care for the elderly. The idea of such a Care Council was developed by Care Revolution Freiburg and presented and discussed at the action conference "Care in the centre - Care Revolution as a perspective". The 120 attendees were in favour of launching a corresponding experiment. The next meeting, at which we will hear initial field reports and research results on the topic of care for the elderly, will take place on 23/11/17 at Südwind, Lorettostr. 42, at 6 pm.
