Care Council newly founded in Freiburg

On 13 April 2021, care activists from various initiatives and four city councillors met for the first meeting of the newly founded Freiburg Care Council at the invitation of the Freiburg City Council's "Stadt für Alle" ("City for All") group and Care Revolution Freiburg. The task of such a Care Council is to address local problems in the care sector (health, care, childcare, social work, etc.).While the first Care Council in Freiburg met regularly with groups from the social movements for a year and a half between 2017 and 2019, the new Care Council will be founded in collaboration with committed city councillors and social movement initiatives. This will enable a broader awareness of care issues in the city. Solutions to grievances are also easier to implement through a coordinated approach.
