Freiburg Care Revolution action conference on 20.5.17

Calling on everyone in south-west Germany to keep Saturday 20 May 17 free. On this day, the Freiburg Action Conference entitled "Care at the Centre - Care Revolution as a Perspective" will take place at the University of Freiburg (KG I, HS 1010) from 12 noon to 6 pm. In addition to plenary discussions, there will be opportunities for dialogue in six workshops on the following topics:

• Workshop 1: Where do I stay? Time for self-care

• Workshop 2: Living and working well with children

• Workshop 3: Contested health - for humane medicine and care in hospitals

• Workshop 4: The right to good care and assistance

• Workshop 5: Social work between responsibility and resistance

• Workshop 6: Joint activities to politicise care - actions and strategies

The contents of the individual workshops can be found here. The aims of this half-day event are

• We want to gather information about social problems, especially in the workshops, and thus develop a multi-layered picture of grievances and emergencies in Freiburg.

• We want to exchange ideas and suggestions on how care work can be organised in a "Freiburg for all".

• We want to forge links between those who are fighting for improvements in the various fields of care work.

• We want to consider how we can publicise joint campaigns in the future.
