Invisible Labour Day on 1 May 2014 in Freiburg

A number of care activists took part in the DGB's 1 May demonstration, holding banners to mark the "Day of Invisible Labour". This finally made it visible at a trade union demonstration that wage labourers and unpaid care workers are suffering from the impact of capitalist production on this work - and are fighting back. This action was spontaneously organised by participants in the Care Revolution action conference in March and in the Independent Women's Care Working Group in Freiburg (and according to the motto: everyone brings someone else with them). A local Care Revolution network is currently being set up in Freiburg.
