Economy is care

New in the"Debate" category Economics has become a kind of leading science from which many people derive their views on "normal" and "right", on the value of relationships and activities. Yet it is precisely those measures to satisfy needs that are still carried out free of charge by many more women than men in so-called private spheres that are not mentioned at all in economics, or only in a distorted, marginalised way. To answer this question, theologian Ina Praetorius takes a journey through the history of Western ideas in her essay "Economy is Care" and shows the deep roots of an unjust, divided order in our economic and social organisation.
