Why refugee centres are inhumane and midwives will soon be history.

Kalender-Icon 28. November 2016

A discussion evening for Care Revolution Potsdam.

Why are refugee centres inhumane and particularly problematic for women and children? Why could the midwifery profession soon be history? And what do the two actually have to do with each other? Answers to these questions will be provided at the Care Revolution kick-off event in Potsdam on Monday, 28 November 2016 from 18:00. In the project house at Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße 164, Elizabeth Ngari from Women in Exile, Martina Schulze from the Brandenburg Midwives' Association and Barbara Fried from the Care Revolution network will provide information about the living conditions of women and children in refugee accommodation, about the professional situation of midwives and about the possibilities for political intervention, solidarity and support strategies. Other initiatives and topics are also very welcome! Raising and caring for children, caring for the elderly and sick, assisting people with disabilities - these and many other activities are aspects of care as care work for and with each other. We want to join forces and work together to improve our working and living conditions+++ Why refugee homes are inhumane and midwives will soon be history.
