Debate on personal assistance on 22.7.16 in Hamburg

Kalender-Icon 22. July 2016
A discussion about self-determination, workers' rights and political perspectiveson Friday, 22 July 2016, at 18:30, at Centro Sociale (Sternstr. 2, near Feldstr. underground station) an event organised by the Hamburg regional group of the Care Revolution network Personal assistance was fought for by activists in the disability movement and is intended to enable people with disabilities to have a self-determined everyday life. Personal assistants therefore provide support with all everyday tasks and the person receiving support decides what to do, when to do it and how. In this event, we want to talk about this together,
  • what experiences assistance recipients and providers have with personal assistance,
  • how the right to self-determination of people with disabilities can be further strengthened,
  • what contradictions to employee rights can arise in everyday assistance and
  • where (common) perspectives lie in order to fight for good working and living conditions for all.
