Discussion: Care Revolution

The AG Care of the Interventionist Left Graz in cooperation with Radio Helsinki invites you to a lecture followed by a discussion with Gabriele Winkeron 21 October at 7 pm at the Radio Helsinki Funkhaus, Schönaugasse 8, Graz.What does care have to do with crisis? - Many people reach the limits of their strength when trying to take good care of themselves and others. What appears to be an individual failure is, however, the result of neoliberal crisis management. What is needed is a fundamental change of perspective, nothing less than a care revolution.Gabriele Winker, a social scientist at the TU Hamburg-Harburg, will discuss steps towards a society based on solidarity and needs. The aim is a world in which people's needs, rather than profit maximisation, are at the centre. The author's lecture will primarily build on her 2015 publication"Care Revolution.
