Workshop discussion on the significance of Care Revolution for social work with input from Care Revolution FreiburgNeoliberal concepts of cost reduction through flexibilisation and self-optimisation are also finding an ever greater resonance in social work. In this context, professionals are faced with the challenge of making people fit so that they can function (again) even under unreasonable or unbearable conditions. They are faced with the contradiction of wanting to help people on the one hand and not wanting to continue to support the stressful conditions on the other. Care Revolution wants to fundamentally change the conditions under which paid and unpaid care work is carried out: For more time and resources to care for one another, for better social infrastructure, for solidarity with one another - What is new about the Care Revolution concept? - What impetus can Care Revolution give to social work? - What opportunities for action exist at local level? The workshop discussion will take place on Tuesday, 3 May 2016 at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg (Karlstraße 38) at 8 pm in House 1, Room 1207.
