Basic Income and the Economy

A conference will take place in Vaduz (Liechtenstein) from 6 to 8 November 2026. The aim of the conference is to examine the extent to which a basic income has a positive impact on the economy. The Basic Income Network will be represented in a workshop and on a panel.

Topics will include the care economy, the economy for the common good, the solidarity economy and artificial intelligence.

Among others, Ina Praetorius and Ronald Blaschke will offer brief presentations examining the concept of the economy from a care perspective, presenting visions and future outlooks as well as practical and political steps towards a care-centred society and economy, whilst highlighting the significance and role of a basic income.
