Impulse and discussion: The necessary global socio-ecological re-care

The prevailing economic and social system expropriates and exploits the majority of people worldwide so that a few can reap more and more profits. Unchecked pollution and the extraction of natural resources, particularly in the Global South, are increasingly destroying the livelihoods of many people who are forced to leave their homes. The miserable wages paid there for the production of cheap consumer goods for the markets of the Global North reduce the costs of social reproduction in the Global North. But it is precisely the social reproduction of the North that requires more and more expropriation and exploitation of people from the Global South. And not only in what are known as international care chains, but which are not even considered in supply chain laws.
