Queer in Treptow-Köpenick – we care!

“Queer in Treptow-Köpenick – we care!” is a participatory networking event organised by Sorge at the ParkCenter and Haus B in collaboration with the JuKuZ Gérard Philipe, bringing together queer people, initiatives and activists in the borough.

The focus is on discussion, workshops, art and performances centred on the themes of queer care, solidarity and visibility. The event creates a safe space for networking, jointly develops perspectives for long-term queer structures, and strengthens the visibility and political participation of the queer community in Treptow-Köpenick.

An afternoon dedicated to queer neighbourliness and community, collective care and care work, and celebrating together. How do we, as the queer community in Treptow-Köpenick, want to live together, look after one another, claim space together and shape spaces together?

Through workshops, discussion groups and artistic activities, we’ll explore collective queer care structures and intersectional approaches to a solidarity-based, queer neighbourhood. Alongside workshops and talks, you can look forward to drag performances, comedy and music. A collective kitchen (Küfa) will provide refreshments during the event.

The event is accessible to wheelchair users. Childcare, DGS interpreters and a quiet room will be available. The event will take place in English and spoken German. Suitable for all age groups. Children may attend the event when accompanied by an adult. No prior knowledge required. Attendance is free of charge.
