The imbalance in medical care provision between urban and rural areas is one of the most serious health care problems, and not only in the new federal states. This problem will be exacerbated in the near future by the continuing shortage of doctors (closure of practices for reasons of age without successors). Women are particularly affected, as they are dependent on public transport to access health services for themselves and their children. As one possible solution, the "Agnes community nurse" project has been tested in some NBLs and is now to be used to relieve the pressure on existing doctors. The presentation is intended to show the possibilities and limits of this model, which is now also used in some NBLs, and thus also explore how it can be incorporated into the ideas and approaches of Care Revolution.
