Take Care - Ways to deal with care activities together in Potsdam on 12/09/17

Kalender-Icon 12. September 2017
How many people do you live with? Who cooks? Who cares for you when you are ill? Do these activities receive recognition, appreciation or a wage? How much time do you have for your own needs? With this event, which will take place on 12 September 2017 from 1 to 10 p.m., we want to bring together people whose everyday lives are determined by caring activities, if possible without high entry barriers. The event aims to open up a space for informal exchange, in particular to bring together women* who live in Berlin and Potsdam and enable them to exchange ideas with each other and with activists who are committed to a different way of dealing with care work. We would like to explicitly encourage refugee women to come together and are endeavouring to find women* who can provide whispered translations in various languages. The second part of the event will include the presentation of activist groups and an exchange on ways to raise your own voice and join activist groups. An important topic will also be the Refugee Women's Conference, which will take place in Berlin at the end of September. As a finale, we will show the film Superfrauen gesucht, which we will translate simultaneously in whispered translation and make the audio tracks available to the filmmakers.with Women in Exile, Netzwerk Care Revolution, Konzeptwerk Neue Ökonomie and others.
