Event organised by the Care Revolution network on 17.11.22 on the topic of "Solidarity instead of competition"

In the run-up to our network meeting, there will be a public event on 17 November from 19:00 to 21:00: Solidarity instead of competition. Alternatives in a time of growing barbarism. The speaker will be Gabriele Winker, activist in the network and author of two books on the Care Revolution.

The destruction of social relations, the climate catastrophe and global wars over resources and spheres of influence are jeopardising the basis of human existence. There is a need for an exit from the current, growth- and profit-orientated mode of production. But how can we imagine a humane alternative to capitalism in the face of these devastations and increasingly authoritarian policies? From a perspective that places caring and solidary relationships between people at the centre of political change, the lecture will set out considerations that will then be the subject of a joint discussion.
