On Women's Day: Care Revolution also in Heilbronn

Kalender-Icon 10. March 2016
Many people reach the limits of their strength when trying to take good care of themselves and others. What appears to be an individual failure in the face of everyday demands is, however, the result of neoliberal policies - care and healthcare serve to maximise profits and are therefore shifted onto the individual. Women are particularly affected by these conditions, as they continue to perform the majority of care work. This includes not only paid work with and for people, such as in care and education professions, but also unpaid work in the home. A fundamental change of perspective is therefore needed - nothing less than a care revolution. Gabriele Winker is developing steps towards a society based on solidarity that no longer focuses on maximising profits, but on human needs and, in particular, caring for one another. On 10 March, Gabriele Winker will give an overview of the current situation in a lecture, so that concrete perspectives can be developed in a subsequent joint discussion.Frauencafé Heilbronn | Organisierte Linke Heilbronn (IL)Here you can find the outside of the beautiful invitation flyer and here you can find more information about the Käthe Social Centre in Heilbronn.
