Report from the Care Revolution network meeting on 14 and 15 April 2018 in Leipzig

We came together in Leipzig for a network meeting with 27 activists and newly interested people from different places. The theme of the meeting was "A campaign for the Care Revolution." Last year, the network initiated a joint planning process that will lead to a campaign and action conference in the coming year. In 2019, we will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of the network and therefore want to organise something bigger. In Leipzig, we thought about what this should look like in concrete terms and asked ourselves which campaign topic would be suitable for the Care Revolution, but also which formats we think would be good. Using the "future workshop" method, various topics were selected and initial campaign options developed. There were ideas and working groups on the "Future of care", "Fight for income-independent parental allowance" and the "4-in-1 perspective as a strike day". We will continue to work on this at the Care Revolution sailing trip, which will take place at the end of May, and at the workshop in Buchenbach in September. A "Campaign" working group has been formed for this purpose, which will continue to support and drive the process forward. We will then invite you to a larger meeting in November to start preparing the campaign with all of you. There was also time to elect a new co-committee, vote on financial applications and get an overview of what is going on in the various regional groups. We are delighted that a new regional group has now come together in Potsdam.
