Care Revolution in Recklinghausen against Caritas decision

Aktuelles – 26. March 2021 – Action
On 25 March 2021, members of Care Revolution Dortmund took part in the demonstration in Recklinghausen against the decision of the Caritas employer not to agree to the collective agreement for the care sector. Initiated by Pflegebündnis Recklinghausen together with ver.di, a dozen participants met on the forecourt of St Paul's Church and waited for cloister participants to enter into dialogue with them. As an action, 4 theses were pinned to the display case of St Paul's Church. Afterwards, the small demonstration marched to the Caritas office, where the 4 theses were also attached. The rally ended with two closing speeches. The 4 theses were: You should not allow dumping wages You should allow the right to strike You should not place church law above collective bargaining law You should respect the trade unions as representatives of employees' interests
