Gabriele Winker will present her new book "Solidarische Care-Ökonomie. Revolutionary Realpolitik for Care and Climate". In it, she explores the strategy of the care revolution as a path to a society in which care and solidarity take centre stage instead of competition and exclusion. In her presentation, she will explain why it is necessary for a good life to restrict profit-oriented economic activity in favour of a care economy and how this not only enables successful care relationships, but also ecologically sustainable action. Gabriele Winker presents ideas on how social movements can be strengthened in order to achieve this goal. She draws parallels between the inadequate support of caring relationships and ecological destruction; she also argues in favour of joint political activities by the care and climate movements. Ultimately, the path out of capitalism must lead to a society based on solidarity.
