Out to the demonstration on Wednesday, 8 March!Berlin | HermannplatzKick-off: 5.00 pm | Start of demonstration: 6.00 pmCall for Women's* Struggle Day 2017Feminism means a good life for everyone! We want a society that sees diversity as enrichment and in which everyone can be happy. We want a non-violent society in which no one is humiliated and despised, in which everyone has a place and no one asks where they come from. For us, this means that we must radically change capitalist and patriarchal conditions so that we can live, love and work in a self-determined and free way.Feminism means equal rights for all!Labour and wealth are unequally distributed under capitalism. Unemployment, labour exploitation, forced labour, minimum wages and poverty in old age are just some of the symptoms of this social system, in which women* are particularly disadvantaged. They perform the majority of poorly paid or unpaid child-rearing, care and nursing work at home and in society. Structural gender relations are visible in the private sphere, in the world of work and in the economy and are reflected in everyday life through sexist power relations and sexualised violence. The family model of mother, father and child is still regarded as the exclusive social ideal in which women are expected to function. People who do not want to categorise themselves as men* and women*, such as trans* and inter people, are discriminated against as "abnormal" and violently attacked. We stand up against all violence that particularly affects women*, LGBTQI* (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, inter and queer people) and people of colour. We defend ourselves against exploitation and oppression. We fight against nationalism and racist everyday politics, against all laws that disenfranchise refugees, against the criminalisation of abortion and against laws that discriminate against sex workers.Feminism means resistance! In Europe and worldwide, the old and new right are gaining strength. In Germany, they have found a parliamentary arm in the AfD, and a national-conservative backlash is sweeping through Germany and Europe, resulting in repeated attacks on women's rights. What has already been fought for is being threatened again and again. Anti-feminism, the fight against equality and racism are common denominators of the new and old right and an integral part of conservative and even radical right-wing ideology. All of this serves to reinforce traditional notions of family, gender images and lifestyles. Racist everyday policies such as racial profiling go hand in hand with the tightening of asylum laws and deadly border policies of European governments. At the same time, right-wing extremist attacks on trade union organisations are also on the rise. We feminists are militantly opposing this shift to the right in all areas of our lives and show solidarity with the worldwide struggles of women* for self-determination and better working conditions.Together for feminist internationalism!
