Friday, 13 November 2026, from 4.30 pm in front of the Historisches Museum

Programme:

Gather at the museum from 4.30 pm (wear weatherproof clothing); please bring lanterns, glow sticks, LED lights, fairy lights, batteries, etc. – PLEASE NO FLAMMABLE ITEMS!

Older children and adults who do not wish to walk with a lantern can transform themselves or even their wheelchair into a glowing ‘object’ – there are no limits to your creativity – there are some great fairy lights available

Short speeches at 5.00 pm, followed by the start

Walk to the cathedral, through the old town to Braubachstraße and across Paulsplatz to the Römer.

THE WALK WILL NOT TAKE PLACE IN A STORM, BUT WILL GO AHEAD IN THE RAIN!

In 2011, the ‘Lichtermeer’ campaign was launched in Hamburg by the organisations nestwärme e.V. and Nicos Farm e.V. We have taken this campaign on in Frankfurt.
