Care work characterises our lives. It is the condition for us to be able to live well together.
At the same time, it puts many people under additional pressure.
We want to make this visible and tangible. This is the only way to make changes and improvements possible.

Invitation to our 3rd discussion evening

Tuesday, 21 October 2025, 19:00
Das Event-Café Am Bottloch, Zeisigweg 3, 69168 Wiesloch- Frauenweiler

A warm invitation to an open evening of dialogue on the topic of care. We want to talk about experiences, challenges and possible changes: What does care (work) mean for each of us? How can it be lived better, distributed more fairly and honoured? What political and social changes are needed for better participation and the protection of human dignity?

We want to discuss these and other questions over cake and drinks. We will talk, listen to each other and strengthen each other. Everyone is welcome - whether with their own experiences, questions or just to listen.

This evening's guests are Annette Steidel and Sandra Oswald.

Both are in wheelchairs due to multiple sclerosis. Despite health challenges, they are actively campaigning for greater accessibility and equal treatment for people with and without disabilities. They volunteer in the "Wiesloch for all" project, which Mrs Oswald initiated within the Wiesloch Community Foundation. Mrs Oswald is a registered nurse.

registered nurse. As the mother of a three-year-old child, she greatly appreciates the support she receives from her relatives and neighbours. One of her future favourite projects is to initiate a barrier-free playground in Wiesloch.

Mrs Steidel has been completely dependent on assistance for five years and feels directly affected by the care crisis. Nevertheless, in addition to the "Wiesloch for all" project, she is also a board member of the Wiesloch Women's Forum.

Annette Steidel and Sandra Oswald will be happy to share their personal experiences on the topic of care with us this evening.
