1 May - Invisible Labour Day in Frankfurt too

Once again this year, our regional group was present at the Hauptwache in Frankfurt on this sunny 1st May with our washing line, on which we hung caricatures and banners alongside nappies and cleaning rags.

Our aim is not just to ensure that invisible labour is seen and duly valued as essential for life itself and for social cohesion, but also that the people who do this work have enough time to do it. That not only the beneficiaries of care work see their needs met, but also that those who perform the care work can be satisfied with what they achieve, namely general well-being and the fulfilling experience of self-efficacy.

We also hung our banners on the Fountain of Justice at the final rally in front of the town hall. Yes, justice cannot be realised without (good) care work.
