A look back at the 2021 "Space for Care" campaign year

In autumn 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, the Care Revolution network called on its fellow campaigners and many other initiatives and organisations to rename local squares "Platz für Sorge" for a few hours and to campaign loudly for more financial and time resources with many care workers, family care workers and those dependent on care work. 11 cities took part, especially but not only on 8 March. There were also care blocks in many cities on 1 May, during the climate strike or at other demonstrations. Initiated by this campaign, two new Care Revolution regional groups were formed in Middle Franconia and for the Rhine-Neckar region. It was particularly important for us to get to know new care activists this year and to plan and organise joint actions with them.
