"Space for care" campaign picks up speed

Aktuelles – 31. January 2021
Care Revolution's positions have gained public attention, especially at the beginning of the pandemic. Now we need to emphasise our demands on the ground. This is why the Care Revolution network decided in October to initiate the "Space for Care" campaign. It is to be realised in broad local alliances, but brought together nationwide. This campaign is now meeting with a positive response in several cities. This was demonstrated by an initial supra-regional exchange of experiences. It became clear that there are already concrete plans for activities in Tübingen, Bielefeld, Frankfurt, Erlangen and Freiburg, especially for 8 March, and that planning is just beginning in other cities. There is a mailing list where other activists who would like to participate in the campaign can sign up (via care-revolution-freiburg@riseup.net). On 26 March, there will be another online networking meeting where we will share our experiences with our actions on 8 March and plan further activities. In some cities, the campaign will continue on 1 May, elsewhere we are thinking about a campaign summer party, where dancing and discussing, painting and talking, eating and learning together, everything that is more fun together, should have a place.
