On 14 November, Care Revolution Rhein-Main and Solidarisch Sorgen e.V. organised the Sea of Lights for Inclusion, which has now become a small tradition in Frankfurt/Main. Counting the 60 pretzels purchased and distributed to the participating children, which were quickly distributed, there were at least 60 children having fun together. As in previous years, a drumming group set the mood. A neurodivergent adult, whose impairment is not visible and who therefore experiences that no consideration is given to her situation, described her situation during the event. It is time for people to be seen as people with their needs and their individuality and not to be assessed on the basis of "performance" measured in income!

In addition, the framework conditions should be designed in such a way that everyone, with their individual characteristics - and we all have them in our own special way - naturally find space and do not have to demand it. In the city, this begins with sufficiently wide, step-free paths, continues with opportunities to spend time without being forced to consume and includes quiet spaces where people can protect themselves from sensory overload.
