Care Revolution network meeting 07 - 09 November 2025

Aktuelles – 24. September 2025

Dear care revolutionaries, dear care activists,

We are delighted to invite you to our next Care Revolution network meeting from Friday, 7 November 2025 to Sunday, 9 November 2025. Hopefully, we have found a place for this that not only offers a good setting for meeting, debate and relaxation, but is also reasonably centrally located: the network meeting will be held at the Jugendhof Bessunger Forst just outside Darmstadt. Despite the name, the Jugendhof is really well connected to public transport: https://jugendhof.org/

Participation in the network meeting is also open to interested parties who are not members of the Care Revolution network. We are really happy if you want to participate. However, please be aware that the work of the network will be at the centre of many of the topics. You can find more details in the programme.

You can register until 15 October, after which we will have to send a final number of participants to the accommodation. Simply send a short email to koordination@care-revolution.org. You can find out more about registration below in this article.

The programme is still being developed and will be further specified. However, we can already present you with an initial schedule. Because the meeting has a certain retreat character - we are developing our positions and projects, our wishes for working together in the network - there will be full catering. We will be accommodated in shared rooms. There will be breaks between the blocks!

Friday evening

From approx. 5 pm: Arrival, check-in, dinner

Evening: Joint discussion 'The care movement was and is important! Where and how we have achieved something'. Participants are invited to bring along examples that are important to them and briefly present them. The examples can be from your own practice or something that inspires you. This introduction should be fun and set the mood for the weekend, but should not pre-empt discussions and appointments for the following days, as it may not be possible for everyone to participate from the start. You are welcome to bring material for the activities presented - and your other activities!

Saturday morning (9:00-13:00)

9:00 - 10:15 a.m. Exchange: What situation are we facing as care activists, what is urgent to do, what are we currently positioned for as a network?

10:30 - 11:45 a.m. Ideas for campaigns will be presented that we can tackle as a network or in which we can participate, with exchange and steps for concrete planning.

12:00 - 13:00: The 'Membership WG' presents its thoughts on how we can put membership issues (voting rights, distribution lists, data protection, conflict mediation, exclusions and their avoidance, etc.) on a basis that meets the needs for efficiency, transparency, consensus culture, network as 'as safe a space as possible', etc.

Samstagnachmittag (14:30-18:00)

14:30 - 16:30 Discussion of the network's basic consensus on content: The resolution adopted at the founding conference in 2014 is 11 years old. A working group has updated it and is presenting it for discussion as a possible common basis.

17:00 - 18:30 Parallel small groups: If you have topics that you really want to discuss in the network beyond the weekend or where you think there is a great need for discussion and change - this is the place to bring them in.

Sunday morning (9:00-13:00)

9:00 - 10:00 Solidarisch Sorgen e.V. presents the organisation's financial planning. As part of the co-operation, 'Solidarisch Sorgen' supports the financing of the network's activities. This topic is reserved for network members. There is a parallel programme for non-members and other interested parties. Feel free to make suggestions!

10:15 - 11:30 a.m. Further concretisation of the campaign planning(s), possibly in small groups on individual issues.

11:45 - 12:30 Presentation of the small group results from Saturday afternoon. Exchange and agreements

12:30 - 13:00 Closing, followed by another lunch together

Of course, you can also spontaneously come up with topics and form small groups on site. However, if you are already working on a campaign, have a topic in mind that is important to you and would like to use the time at the network meeting to talk about it and work on it (further), then write to us now at koordination@care-revolution.org. The preparatory working group will create an information sheet that all participants will receive before the network meeting so that they can familiarise themselves and prepare. All material that reaches us by 20 October can be included.

We have tried to develop a programme that does justice to everyone's interests as far as possible and at the same time leaves room for in-depth exchange and spontaneous encounters. All participants are still invited to contribute their suggestions for the programme; write to us at koordination@care-revolution.org! Participants will receive an information package with the programme, directions, location, etc. before the start. In addition, ideas and suggestions for appointments or recommended resolutions will already be shared in the information pack.

Our big request: Register for the network meeting as soon as possible and let us know your needs and wishes, everything you need to feel comfortable at the meeting: Programme, food, general conditions, accommodation. The earlier and more precisely we as the organising team know about your concerns, the better we can respond to them. In addition, early feedback is encouraging and reassuring for us: it lets us know that the programme will be well received. Please write to koordination@care-revolution.org with the subject line 'Network meeting' or otherwise clearly state that you would like to take part !

What costs will you incur? If all costs for accommodation, conference rooms and catering were to be allocated, we would have a participation fee of approx. 170 € per person. As part of our co-operation with the Solidarisch Sorgen association, which handles the financial side of the network meeting and bears part of the costs itself, we have the following option:

We suggest a donation of €100 to Solidarisch Sorgen upon participation. Solidarisch Sorgen is a non-profit organisation and donations are tax-deductible. Please write "Donation" or "Donation Network Meeting" in the subject line of your bank transfer if you would like to receive a tax-deductible donation receipt.

At the same time, it is important to us that we handle it in the same way as at the last two meetings in Leipzig and Frankfurt am Main: Everyone is welcome and should be able to attend regardless of their financial means. So when the time comes, let us know how much you can pay and also if you need your travel costs covered. On the other hand, this solidarity-based financing model also means that those who are able to do so will make a corresponding contribution. So: 100 € as a guideline, if you can contribute more, this makes it easier to organise the whole thing, and if you can transfer less or need support with travel costs, that's completely fine. Please get in touch with us at the email address provided if you have any questions or are unsure!
