Easter March in Heidelberg 2022 "Lay down your arms! - Peace logic instead of war logic!"

The Care Revolution Rhine-Neckar network has called for the Easter march. Russia's unspeakable war of aggression against Ukraine has triggered not only compassion and solidarity, but also fear, uncertainty, horror and speechlessness, as well as demands for even more arms deliveries and armament, and the growing importance of nationalist heroism. (1905) War and violence generate counter-violence, kill, destroy, bring endless suffering and misery, hatred, brutalisation and despair on all sides. People lose their homes and are forced to flee...... War is not and must not be a means of conflict resolution. The terrible images and reports from Ukraine are almost unbearable. Nevertheless, shock and outrage must lead to reflection and a joint struggle for possible solutions, beyond militarisation, to the assumption of global responsibility. Political and media disarmament is more necessary than ever. All forces and efforts must be focussed on de-escalation, diplomacy and serious negotiations. In addition to a ceasefire and an end to war, it is important to prevent further consequences such as hunger, misery, unrest, uprisings and displacement worldwide.
