Switzerland: In favour of an unconditional basic income with a view to care work

Aktuelles – 03. May 2016
A few weeks before the vote on the unconditional basic income in Switzerland on 5 June 2016, Swiss women are speaking out. In their brochure "Mit Carekraft zur Energiewende" (With care power for the energy transition), the editorial states: "It is about returning the economy to its true purpose, namely to serve the satisfaction of human needs, the shaping of life and the quality of life. (...) This is why we have decided to explicitly focus on the huge blind spot of care work, which is largely performed by women worldwide." This brochure also features the words of fellow Care Revolution campaigners Ina Praetorius and Sarah Schilliger.
