Five squares renamed to "Platz der Sorge" in Hamburg

Aktuelles – 12. March 2021
The Hamburg Alliance for the International 8 March Strike organised five decentralised rallies in Hamburg on 8 March 2021. As a common element of the rallies, each of the squares where the rallies took place was renamed "Platz der Sorge". Many different groups and perspectives are represented in the Hamburg alliance for the international 8 March strike. What unites them all is that they are all care workers and that they want to realise a good life for all people. That is why Hamburg is also calling for a place of care and is joining the nationwide campaign Platz für Sorge. As of now, there are five squares of care in Hamburg, including Heidi-Kabel-Platz at the main railway station, Gänsemarkt and three other squares in central locations.
